Fire, Forest and Water

Taos County is blessed with mountainous terrain and pinon-juniper stands. The drought of years past and the Ips Beetle infestation have caused serious conditions which may have ncreased the fire hazard in our area. Come see what you can do to protect yourself and your surroundings at the Fire, Forest and Water Fair. You will enjoy formal and informal presenations such as How Wildfire Affects Business, What is Defensible Space, and What Constitutes a Healthy Forest, and demonstrations on chain saw safety, water quality, and Noxious Weeds.
